KC West Minor Hockey Association (KCW) was formed as a not-for-profit organization resulting in fundraising being essential to maintain and grow the organization. Fundraising also provides the benefits of increased awareness to our families that they are an integral part of our community. Participation in fundraisers helps to generate funds for our organization and keep registration costs down.

As hockey registrations fees cover the cost of game time ice, it is the responsibility for all Minor Hockey Associations, including KCW, to raise funds to provide practice ice time. As mandated by Hockey Canada all minor hockey teams must have a minimum of twenty practices resulting in approximately 160 practices for KCW.

For the 2022-23 Season, families will be required to work 1 shift per registered player (to a maximum of 2) at Castledowns Bingo.  Bingo signups will be available shortly.  Each shift starts at 5 PM and ends at Midnight.

Fundraising Deposit Program:

• Each family is required to participate in the club fundraising events
  A deposit of $200/per child is required.
  • $50 Bingo arrival cheque/deposit returned when you show up to your bingo date
  • $150 Bingo Completion cheque/deposit returned when you complete your bingo shift
• In the event that a family does not complete their fundraising commitments by March 31st, the deposit will be processed
